Very good thoughts jinesh because it is self reliance which is more important and at the worst the alimony could include a education or training for 2-3 years to make her self and her depedants self reliant
Wonderful thoughts. This is true women empowerment. Fortunately or unfortunately enough, we are the ones thinking of real women empowerment be it self - reliance or anti - dowry.
But will our law maker agree and stop treating indian men as Free ATM machine?
Rise your voice to Stop the Maintance and Alimony and Stop treating your Husband family as Free ATM Machine.
Very nice. Self reliance by women should be achieved by hard-work and not by legal terrorism.
Where women are qulaified, were previously working, etc the courts or judges have taken a more reasonable appropriate view w.r.to maintenance.
So even if wife is not working - if she is qualified and was previously working - suitable arguments can be made. Similary the husband's family situation (say old parents, dependants, etc) are also taken in to consideration while granting maintenance or alimony.
So it does not mean that if courts grant alimony the guy has to shed it out. The decision can be contested once again or higher courts can be approached.
When there is so much violence within one's own self, how can there be non-violence outside? Violent people don't love themselves and that is the root problem. Those who cause harm to others will also cause harm to themselves. That is the rule. Love is the only thing that one will carry with oneself after death, not money and definitely not alimony.
